I'll Have Another overcame a big deficit but never gave up, pushing harder and harder until the end. He stormed down the stretch to win the 2012 Kentucky Derby.

I'll Have Another overcame the post position and then overcame a fantastic performance from Bodemeister.

Bodemeister set records for splits at the Kentucky Derby but teetered off at the end. Bodemeister was running a fantastic race, but the endurance and ability to persevere came through in the end for I'll Have Another.

If this was the Preakness, Bodemeister would have won by a wide margin. But it wasn't.

I'll Have Another is only getting started in the sport of horse racing. He has all the talent in the world, and a victory like this will only propel the horse to new levels in the future. Expect a more aggressive strategy from I'll Have Another jockey Mario Gutierrez at the Preakness.

The 138th edition of the Kentucky Derby didn't disappoint. We had great anticipation, a great race and a surprising winner.
