Mayweather vs Cotto Live Stream: Complete Internet Listing for Super Fight

Mike ChiariMay 5, 2012

Any fight involving Floyd "Money" Mayweather is a huge one, and his bout with Miguel "Junito" Cotto on Saturday night very well may be the biggest of the year. The undefeated Mayweather is a prohibitive favorite, but Cotto only has two career losses in his own right and will be looking to go down in history as the first man to knockoff Mayweather.

With that in mind, you'll want to catch the fight any way you possibly can. Even if you aren't able to order it on HBO pay-per-view, you have the option of watching it streaming live on the Internet. Whatever you do, don't miss this fight because you'll want to remember where you were when either Mayweather or Cotto scored the biggest win of their respective careers.

Here is your complete guide to catching Mayweather vs. Cotto tonight both on pay-per-view and on the Internet.

Where: MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas

When: Saturday, May 5 (undercard starts at 9 p.m. ET)

Watch: HBO PPV

Live Stream: Boxing.LiveTV.com

Best-Case Scenario for Mayweather

I'm sure Mayweather wouldn't mind catching Cotto sleeping early and knocking him out, but he certainly won't be fishing for a knockout, nor should he. Mayweather is built to go the distance as there may not be a fighter in the entire sport of boxing with more stamina. He loves to frustrate opponents and has no issue fighting all 12 rounds and beating them on the scorecards.

If Mayweather could lay out the perfect blueprint for this fight, it would likely involve him keeping Cotto on the move and working him over with counter punches. That would result in a unanimous-decision victory, making him 43-0 over the course of his illustrious career.

Best-Case Scenario for Cotto

Cotto cannot go toe-to-toe with Mayweather over the long haul. He knows it, Mayweather knows it and every boxing fan knows it. With that in mind, Cotto realizes that he has to be the aggressor and he has to do all he can to stop the fight early. If Mayweather gets his feet under him and gets comfortable, it's going to be a very long night for Cotto.

Junito has to take an in-your-face approach that knocks Mayweather off his game early. It won't be easy to knockout Mayweather, as it has never been done due to his superior quickness and defensive ability. That may be Cotto's best chance, though, so his ideal fight would end with a TKO victory.

Prediction

This very well may be the biggest test Mayweather has ever faced as Cotto is a younger and stronger fighter who is more comfortable in the 154-pound weight class. However, being undefeated seems to mean everything to Mayweather, so he's certain to be ready.

Mayweather is far too savvy to be drawn into a slug fest by Cotto, so he's going to make sure that the fight is fought at his pace. With Mayweather controlling the tempo, he'll have little issue in coming out on top with a unanimous-decision victory.
