Eli Manning's SNL Appearance Will Further Endear Him to America

Eli Manning already has one more Super Bowl ring than his big brother, and pretty soon, he could be more well liked across America. 

The quarterback of the reigning NFL champions will appear on Saturday Night Live tonight, in what should be a hilarious and compelling look inside one of football's most successful and innately quirky individuals.

Eli plays the game with amazing grit, passing precision and a relative awkwardness not seen in many of the game's most revered quarterbacks. 

His blank demeanor and inelegant style of play make him appear seemingly unaware of his surroundings, even in the most pressure-filled moments.

In post-game interviews, he never says the wrong things, but is always somewhat uneasy.

You know what? For Eli, it works.  

He's relatable to the average Joe, who'd be just as clumsy in a similar situation. 

I don't expect Eli to be a comedic genius tonight, but what's funnier than watching a goofy but willing guy give comedy a shot? 

Not much. 

Yes, Peyton is the ultimate corporate sponsor icon for the NFL; a guy who works wonders in front of the camera with surprising spunk and personality that's a far cry from his serious football attitude. 

While Eli doesn't have the same TV flair as his older brother, watching him off the field is just as engaging.

If he plays along well throughout the SNL skits, he'll further endear himself to both New York City and the rest of the country as the legendary quarterback who is just like the rest of us.
