5 WWE Superstars Who Could Soon Be Fired
It's around this time of year that the WWE begins to weed out the lower/midcard talent to make way for the post-WrestleMania newcomers.
With talent like Ryback, Damien Sandow, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose set to inherit the throne and prove their potential, there just isn't room to accommodate everyone.
This article will pick the five guys on the roster who are in the most danger of facing the chop.
Nothing personal, just business.
Heath Slater
1 of 6Heath Slater has achieved absolutely nothing of late.
He hasn't even been fortunate enough to make an appearance on Nxt or Superstars.
He's weak on the mic, has an average move-set and possesses very little charisma or character.
Oh, but he did get slapped down by Flo Rida at WrestleMania!
The Miz
2 of 6The Miz's WWE career may be in danger for another reason.
He's become a wrestler without a gimmick, a heel who's no longer booed and a superstar without a feud.
Whether or not he can find his way out of professional wrestling's no man's land is an increasingly pertinent question for Vince and Co.
Ezekiel Jackson
3 of 6With the recent introduction of the monster-sized Ryback and Lord Tensai, Ezekiel Jackson's position in the WWE has become increasingly compromised.
There is only so much room for the ultra-beefy.
Like Heath Slater, the WWE creative team seem unable to create any tangible storylines for Jackson, as he too has disappeared from our screens.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Evan Bourne
4 of 6Injuries and violations of the wellness policy threaten this man's promising WWE career.
He is very much in danger of going the route of another high-flyer, John Morrison.
With his former tag team partner, Kofi Kingston, now firmly allied with R-Truth, it remains to be seen whether there will be a legitimate place for Bourne when he finally does make his return.
Trent Barreta
5 of 6I know what you're thinking: Is this guy even still on the WWE roster?
He is.
And I know what some of you more casual fans are thinking: Who the heck is Trent Barreta?
It doesn't really matter, though, he won't be around for much longer.
Honourable Mentions
6 of 6Rey Mysterio: Same reasons as Bourne, injuries and violations of WWE policy.
Alex Riley: No gimmick, no love from the fans, no place.
Drew McIntyre: Would already be gone if not a personal favourite of Vince McMahon.
Darren Young: Lucky to have been recently paired with the charismatic Titus O'Neill.
JTG: Anybody remember Cryme Tyme?
