WWE SmackDown Preview: SPOILER-FREE Preview of This Week's Episode (May 4)

The WWE taped this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on Tuesday in Toledo, Ohio, and naturally, I’ve already read the show’s spoilers.

But if you want to avoid those, then you’re in the right place. 

Here is a SPOILER-FREE preview of tomorrow’s SmackDown, which gives a detailed, segment-by-segment breakdown of the entire show.

Sheamus Promo 

The World Heavyweight champion starts the show off by addressing the live crowd. 

What will he have to say about his outstanding Extreme Rules match, and will he address Alberto Del Rio’s title shot? 

Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan

An Extreme Rules rematch? I”ll take it. 

These two delivered a phenomenal performance on Sunday night, and I have no problem with seeing it again. 

WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston and R-Truth vs. Hunico and Camacho (Non-Title Match) 

The new WWE Tag Team champions compete for the first time since winning the titles on Monday’s Raw. 

SmackDown has had a bit of a revamped tag team division as of late, so it should be interesting to see if this becomes a regular occurrence. 

Brodus Clay vs. Jack Swagger 

Clay has made a habit out of defeating Vickie Guerrero’s other client, Dolph Ziggler, but will Swagger will be able to stop “The Funkasaurus?” 

Backstage Segment 

Eve Torres, Alberto Del Rio and Daniel Bryan appear. 

All I’m worried about is Eve and her hotness, honestly. 

Damien Sandow vs. Derrick Bateman 

After four weeks of hype, Damien Sandow makes his debut against Derrick Bateman. 

Or does he? 

Randy Orton and The Big Show vs. Kane and Cody Rhodes 

Really? Ugh. 

I guess these two terrible feuds must continue for some reason. 

Divas Champion Layla vs. Natalya (Non-Title Match) 

New WWE Divas champion Layla will be in action on SmackDown for the first time in more than a year, while Natalya will be looking to rebound from that nasty attack from A.J. two weeks ago.

Eve, Aksana, Teddy Long and Antonio Cesaro appear.

Another short backstage segment, with A.J. crossing paths with Kaitlyn. 

What will Kaitlyn have to say to A.J., who slapped her across the face last week? 

Main Event: Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
