NBA Playoffs TV Schedule: Start Times and Predictions for Wednesday's Games
The 2012 NBA Playoffs have been an unpredictable mixture of great basketball, agonizing injuries, amazing comebacks and shocking upsets.
Wednesday night brings three more games to the table, and each of them should be excellent. Here’s a look at when each contest tips off, which television networks will air the action and some predictions.
Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs – Game 2 – 7:00 p.m. ET on TNT
The Jazz are bound to steal a game in this series. Their roster is too physical for the aging Spurs to shut out completely, and Game 2 seems like a perfect time for Utah to steal some of San Antonio’s thunder.
Gregg Popovich was named Coach of the Year yesterday, and the team is coming off a solid victory to open the series. Utah now has a chance to cut them down—in San Antonio—and walk out with an upset win.
Prediction: Jazz 101 – Spurs 100
Indiana Pacers vs. Orlando Magic – Game 3 – 7:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV
The Dwight Howard-less Magic got their “No one believes in us!” win out of the way in Game 1 and were rightfully put in their place the next contest.
Indiana is too deep, too talented and too hungry to drop another easy game against an inferior team. They’ll be on the road for this one, but it won’t make a difference.
Prediction: Pacers 95 – Magic 92
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Memphis Grizzlies – Game 2 – 9:30 p.m. ET on TNT
As you have probably heard, the Grizzlies were on the receiving end of the biggest comeback in NBA playoff history. There is simply no way they can recover from that, while the Clippers' confidence is at an all-time high.
Look for LA to ride that wave of assuredness right past the favored Grizz for a second time this week and get an easy victory in Game 2.
Prediction: Clippers 96 – Grizzlies 90
