WWE News: Update on Brock Lesnar After His Meltdown at Extreme Rules Sunday

Chris HumphreyJun 1, 2018

During their Extreme Rules match Sunday night in Chicago, Brock Lesnar and John Cena had the crowd on the edge of their seats in Chicago for one of the most brutal and greatest matches in recent memory at Extreme Rules.

After losing the match and Cena addressing the crowd at the Allstate Arena, Lesnar had a major temper tantrum, as he would tear apart a locker room arguing with WWE officials after being told Cena would be going out on a stretcher.

With more and more news leaking about the tantrum following the main event Sunday, what does the immediate future hold for Brock Lesnar in the WWE after being back for not even a month?

Despite what's an act and what's part of the TV storylines, sources insist that Lesnar's status and future with WWE is a sticky situation.

While Lesnar vs. Triple H is in the works for SummerSlam, some in the company are already predicting that he will end up working the remaining big pay-per-view events of 2012, Royal Rumble 2013 and then WrestleMania 29 before being done with the company.

"

While being extremely excited to see Lesnar return to the WWE from the UFC, it was just a matter of time before the former UFC and WWE Champion would have an incident with the planning of his storylines.

With the rumored match between Lesnar and Triple H planned for SummerSlam later this year, I can’t believe the WWE will have him lose two straight matches—especially to Triple H, who has stepped more into an administrator role than a wrestler.

If Lesnar were to lose to Triple H at SummerSlam, it would be very possible for Lesnar to walk out on his contract with the WWE, as he would likely believe it to be a waste of his talent.

With his aforementioned deal with the WWE lasting until next year’s WrestleMania in New Jersey, it will be hard to believe that the company and Lesnar will work out another deal after the conclusion of this current contract.

Following the incident this past Sunday night, do you see Brock Lesnar continuing to have these meltdowns in the backstage area throughout the rest of his one-year deal with the WWE?
