With the 2012 NFL draft in the rearview, Bills GM Buddy Nix plans to get the ball rolling on contract negotiations with several players whose deals are up at the end of the 2012 season. Chris Brown of BuffaloBills.com points out Spencer Johnson, Corey McIntyre, Leodis McKelvin, Shawne Merriman, Brian Moorman, Bryan Scott, Chad Rinehart and Kraig Urbik are the names up for new deals.

With several report cards handed in, the Buffalo Bills earned sterling marks from most of the draft pundits according to Mark Gaughan of The Buffalo News. Not surprisingly, one of Mel Kiper's gripes with the draft doesn't even really apply: He says that Cordy Glenn can't play left tackle, when it will likely be Chris Hairston lined up on the left side.

Brandon Morabito, a 10-year-old from Norton, Ma., had the lucky opportunity to announce a late-round Patriots draft pick but was booed by the crowd at Radio City Music Hall. Jim Hand of the Attleboro Sun Chronicle writes that it didn't affect his enjoyment of the draft. This is a really heartwarming piece.

The Patriots re-signed defensive lineman Gerard Warren, whose role has been interchangeable with the team. Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston writes that while his primary role was as a 3-4 defensive end in 2010, he was a sub package defensive tackle last season.

Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel has a look at the amount of money the 2012 rookie class is costing the Dolphins and points out that with the new CBA, the only negotiable part of the contract is the signing bonus.

We've heard the same thing since Day 1 about Ryan Tannehill: He shouldn't start in his rookie season. According to B/R draft lead blogger Sigmund Bloom, Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin left the door open to the possibility of him starting, however, and GM Jeff Ireland even implied that the team has been looking to draft Tannehill since December.

Jeff Capellini of CBS New York urges Jets fans to ignore the noise on the draft, especially the noise from the pundits who say the Jets are worse off now than they were before. Jeff reminds readers that the draft is a process that's not yet done, as the real process of developing these players hasn't begun yet.
