WWE News: Bella Twins Fired, Brings Further Confusion to Divas Division

WWE has just reported that the Bella Twins have been fired from the WWE, just one day after Nikki Bella lost the Divas Title to a returning Layla. Nikki Bella defeated Beth Phoenix at the preceding Raw, ending Phoenix's title run spanning over 200 days.

There have been many rumors spreading that the Bellas' contract is set to expire, with negotiations being cold. This announcement solidifies them leaving the WWE.

Overall, this makes absolutely no sense regarding the Divas division.

Here is the current status:

• Layla is the champion.
• Beth Phoenix is out with a reported kayfabe injury.
• Natalya is a tweener.
• Kelly Kelly hasn't been on TV since Wrestlemania and is a babyface.
• Tamina Snuka is rarely on TV anymore and is a babyface.
• Alicia Fox... same as Tamina Snuka.
• A.J. is confused.
• Kaitlyn is a babyface.
• Maxine is a heel but is an NXT all-star.
• Eve is no longer an active wrestler.

Essentially, Layla has no legitimate heel to work with. It would have made much more sense to have Beth Phoenix retain the title on Raw as well as Extreme Rules and to have Kharma return on the Bellas' arguing after a loss versus Phoenix.

Now we have a bunch of confusion and a champion who has seemingly nobody of relevant status to feud with.
