John Cena Leaving WWE Creates an Impossible Void for Vince McMahon to Fill

Brandon GalvinJun 7, 2018

John Cena defeated Brock Lesnar at Extreme Rules 2012, but that's not what the WWE Universe is talking about now.

In his post-match victory speech, Cena said that he is taking time off from WWE and even suggested that he legitimately injured his left arm as a result from Lesnar's inhumane punishment during the Main Event in Chicago.

Pro Wrestling Report tweeted what the world heard in the post-match speech.

Whether or not this is a legitimate injury is a discussion for another day. Right now, the only thing that matters is the top man in wrestling is leaving us for an extended period of time and creates a void impossible for Vince McMahon, let alone any superstar, to fill.

Despite the relentless bashing and insane hatred towards Cena, he is WWE programming. His entertainment value is through the roof. His marketability and promotional work is hands down the best in the industry.

Not a single person draws as intense of a reaction from each and every crowd. It doesn't matter if Cena goes up against Triple H, CM Punk, The Rock or Brock Lesnar, he gets the loudest reaction. The fans care more about chanting "Let's go Cena!-Cena Sucks!" than any other chant. They care more about reacting to him than any other superstar, it's truly uncanny.

Fans have bashed Cena to no end in recent years and they will now get their wish. The only problem is that without Cena on TV, their lives will turn into a pure nightmare. Cena is the top man in the industry for a reason--he sells and draws unparalleled responses from any crowd worldwide.

He is one of the best WWE in-ring and mic-workers to ever grace the company. His contributions will be sorely missed as not a single man in the industry right now can match his work ethic, dedication and star power.

For WWE's sake, hopefully he comes back sooner than he suggested at Extreme Rules.
