WWE Extreme Rules 2012 Results: Randy Orton Defeats Kane in WrestleMania Rematch
Randy Orton finally defeated Kane on pay-per-view, as he defeated the Big Red Machine Kane at WWE Extreme Rules 2012.
Orton and Kane battled all over the arena in an entertaining, Attitude Era-esque brawl. They battled through the fans, on the ramp, in front of the announcers, backstage and inside the squared circle. This was far from a technical masterpiece, but anybody expecting such a match is just foolish.
This match harped back to the days of the Attitude Era when anything you thought could happen would happen. These two men went all over Chicago, but it was near the ring that brought out the best of both men.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Orton managed to pull off his patented DDT on Kane after putting the Big Red Machine on the announcer's table and face-planting him on the outside mats. They went back inside the ring and it looked like Kane was going to pull off the victory when he hit Orton with a devastating choke slam.
In the end, Orton countered a Tombstone attempt on a steel chair and hit Kane with an RKO on the chair for the victory.
This is a big win for Orton, who is able to get back on the right track after losing to Kane at WrestleMania 28. This was a quality and intense feud for both men. At this point, it would be interesting to see Randy Orton go after either Sheamus or Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship with Kane taking on Big Show, should he defeat Cody Rhodes, for the Intercontinental Championship.
Either way, this was a great way to open Extreme Rules and both men should be applauded for their efforts.
