WWE Extreme Rules: 5 Reasons Why Daniel Bryan Will Lose His World Title Match
He is a theory: Daniel Bryan is just as good as CM Punk.
I known this will lead to an outcry by many of you in the wrestling world and the IWC, but it is true.
In fact, I will take it one step further and say based on skill, I think Bryan might be better. Now, let the attack begin.
Daniel Bryan is good for the WWE and Smackdown because he is the heel we all love. Whether his character is annoying or his relationship with AJ Lee was disturbing or his loss to Sheamus in 18 seconds was shocking, it only fueled his character to be better.
And for that, we love to cheer for him and we love his wrestling prowess.
"Yes, Yes, Yes!"
Bryan needs to lose his match with Sheamus for many reasons, and none of them have to do with the loss of AJ at his side. It has more to do with what Bryan means to the company as a heel rather than what he means to the company as a champion.
Cody Rhodes Needs to Have a Run Toward the Title
1 of 5While everyone thinks this is too soon, I believes it is not soon enough.
Rhodes is still goofing off with Big Show, which is not helping him with his rise in the WWE ranks.
When are we going to see him in a program with the world title on the line?
Rhodes certainly has the chops on the mic and the skill to be a world champion many times over.
This Could Be the Way Christian Gets Back to the Top
2 of 5I'm curious to see what happens with Christian, Alberto Del Rio and Mark Henry.
The three are all still championship material.
Does Bryan losing the title and losing this match mean these three "heels" will get another push toward the top?
Henry had a short program with CM Punk, which I thought was part of the "softening" of the champion for Chris Jericho.
Let's see where it goes after Extreme Rules.
He Suffers from the "CM Punk Effect"
3 of 5While he is the "heel" in the company that gets the biggest pop from the crowd, CM Punk gets the biggest "pop" from the crowd as the "face."
Sorry, John Cena.
When Punk chases the title, he is on top of the world and yes, he is the "Best in the World."
For some reason, when he has the title, he tends to lose a bit of his edge.
Right now, Daniel Bryan is edgier than he was with the title (like Punk), which makes us like his character even more.
I Still Don't Think He Is Believable
4 of 5I see him and see a wrestler who is a mid-carder at best (like Punk). But I also think with Punk, there is a sense of believability because he identifies with every man.
Bryan is loud and sounds awkward on the microphone.
Plus, his program with AJ Lee just left a poor taste in my mouth.
He Needs to Challenge CM Punk Instead
5 of 5I am still waiting for Punk versus Bryan for the WWE title.
The two in the ring are like ballet. It's Ricky Morton and Ric Flair. It's Rick Steamboat and Randy Savage.
There is so much chemistry in the feud that "could be," that it "should" happen.
This still has potential to be the "feud of the year."
