Amile Jefferson: What Top Recruit Would Bring to a Program
Anthony Bennett may be the best recruit in the 2012 class who has yet to sign, but Amile Jefferson isn't far behind.
From Friends Central High School in Philadelphia, Jefferson is the No. 25 recruit in the class, according to ESPNU. He's gotten offers from Kentucky, Ohio State, Duke, N.C. State and Villanova.
At 6'7" and 190 pounds, Jefferson needs to add strength and improve his jump shot, but he has good size, length, agility and a natural feel for the game that can't be taught. He excels along the baseline and on quick wing drives to the hoop and he has the touch, body control and ability to finish with both hands to make him a dynamic scorer around the rim.

Beyond that, Jefferson will rebound and block shots and is constantly moving. He's an ultra-competitive player who never stops and takes a serious approach to the game of basketball. He was the 2011 Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania.
There are plenty of programs hoping Jefferson doesn't go to Kentucky, Ohio State or Duke because he has the ability to push them over the top in the hunt for next season's national championship. With his athletic ability, he has the potential to be an immediate impact player in college.
As highly publicized and drawn out that Tony Parker's press conference was, Jefferson may end up being a better player in college, and schools are clamoring to attain his services.
Jefferson averaged 17.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks for Friends Central this season, exemplifying what kind of impact he can have on the court. As one of Philly's finest recruits, everyone is wondering where Amile Jefferson will end up.
Whoever lands this kid is going to be happy.
