NFL Schedule 2012: Matchups Unworthy of Monday Night Football
Monday Night Football is supposed to feature noteworthy, primetime contests between two exciting teams. This season's Monday Night Football slate does for the most part, but in other cases NFL schedulers dropped the ball.
These matchups have no business being played at any time other than Sunday afternoon.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Packers and the Seahawks clash in Week 3. This will be a bloodbath in the Packers' favor.
The Packers are the most skilled offensive team in the NFL. The Seahawks defense was middle of the road last season, but are no match for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers skill players.
Seattle brought in Matt Flynn over the offseason. Flynn will take a crack at stabilizing Seattle's abysmal quarterback situation, but he is not a franchise signal-caller. Flynn's ties to Green Bay may be the most intriguing storyline this contest has to offer.
The 2012 NFL draft could change Seattle's situation on either side of the ball, but it will not help Pete Carroll's boys keep this one close.
The Packers still have a bad taste in their mouths from last season's disappointing playoff run. They will take out their early-season frustrations on the Seahawks.
The 49ers were the NFL's most surprising team last season, and have gotten much better this offseason. The Cardinals are still the Cardinals and nowhere near ready to stick with their NFC West rival.
San Francisco's defense will be just as good next season as they were last season. They could be even better with the addition of Carlos Rodgers and the NFL draft still pending.
Offensively, the 49ers added Randy Moss and Mario Manningham. This gives the San Francisco receiving corps a much needed boost.
Fans also cannot forget the addition of Brandon Jacobs to the 49ers backfield. He will complement Frank Gore perfectly.
The 49ers will dominate the NFC West again this season. The Cardinals do not pose a threat in this game and will not pose a threat all season long.
This game is the worst of the entire 2012 Monday Night Football schedule. The Redskins do not have much going on either side of the ball and are nowhere near ready to face the defending Super Bowl champions.
Granted, the Redskins could be much better by the time Week 13 rolls around. However, that is unlikely and the Giants will destroy their NFC East foe.
Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III will be Washington's quarterback, at this point. Despite RG3's dazzling ability, he will be nowhere near ready to face the Giants' daunting front four.
The Redskins do not have the offensive line to keep Griffin upright, and do not have the run game to keep the Giants defense honest.
The Giants offense will be able to move the ball against the Redskins' average defense. Eli Manning delivered the best season of his career last season, and will ride that momentum to new heights this season.
This game should not be a Monday night contest. By Week 13, the Redskins will be out of the playoff race and the Giants will be on cruise control.
