WWE Smackdown Results: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
SmackDown was a decent show tonight. The Blue Brand did not do much of note, but it was an enjoyable two hours. If I had to give them a grade, it would fall in the C range.
The Good
The opening segment was great. Daniel Bryan is finally finding a character in this company, and it shows each and every week. AJ, as well, played her role perfectly.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Once again, the live audience was filled with "Yes" men. As long as the chants add to the show and are used only during Bryan's segments, I have no issues with it.
AJ vs. Natalya never really began. The little girl finally let out her anger, and she destroyed Nattie. It was a fun to see her "snap," but I still question her relationship with Danny Boy going forward.
They may not be done just yet...
Brodus Clay defeated Hunico in a short match. It was fun while it lasted, and both men did well. The winner was never in doubt, but that's OK.
Hornswoggle dancing is always a great sight to see. The Superstar is a great talent, as is Naomi and Cameron. Yet another win for the Funky Crew!
Damien Sandow delivered yet another promo. He speaks well, but I can't comment much more until I see him in the ring. Also, Titus O'Neil and Darren Young "debuted" on SmackDown this week.
The two were not very good backstage with Teddy Long, but it was fine for a start.
As for their match against the Uso brothers, it was nice. Nothing was special about either team, but it served its segment well. With a tag team division doing nothing right now, it's interesting.
With the true star of the division being my "it" girl Rosa Mendes, I wish Titus and Darren luck!
The Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio was a decent match. I didn't pay very close attention, but two big stars facing off is usually entertaining.
Del Rio picked up the well-deserved win after Cody Rhodes interfered. His feud with Show will continue, while Alberto gets closer and closer to his World Title match.
Ryback destroyed another local wrestler. WWE continued having their roster watching from the back as an added touch. Job well done!
We also saw the debut of Antonio tonight. Many fans know his history already, but he's still unproven in the biggest wrestling company in the world.
He appeared with my "it" girl Aksana and seemed to be very confident. Just watching, he looked like a man who knows what he's doing.
The Bad
Alberto Del Rio is now a member of the SmackDown roster. It was quietly announced, and the move was not treated like a major deal at all.
Can we just ignore the Draft now? I know the brand extension has been laughable for awhile now, but this is just getting ridiculous. Please just stop the "supershow" concept and try something else that may actually work.
The Ugly
Safety comes first.
I am sorry, but this must be mentioned. The main event got nearly 30 minutes, and that's excellent news for the Blue Brand! Sadly, it also featured The Big Show competing twice in one night.
That's unacceptable. The match was fine. All the participants were great, and it was a very well-done finish with Sheamus' team winning. The man just shouldn't lose anytime soon.
I just can't overlook Show pulling double duty tonight...
