WWE/TNA: Top 5 Worst Celebrity Moments
The WWE Universe is just a few weeks removed from Maria Menounos having a nice showing at WrestleMania. She worked through an injury and picked up a big victory in front of 70,000 fans.
However, celebrity involvement is not always a great idea in the wrestling industry. They can work under the right circumstances, but that is not always the case.
Let's take a look at the five worst offenders!
5. Joey Logano and Kyle Busch
1 of 5Honestly, this was embarrassing.
If the five minute clip does not do them justice, nothing will. The two stumbled over nearly every line, never seemed comfortable, had zero stage presence and did not click well with the audience one bit.
To see these two stand up to Chris Jericho and Big Show was a joke. Again, these two guys went face to face with the tag champs who nearly doubled them in size.
Add in a ridiculous "heel turn," and you have a disaster on your hands...
Kofi Johnston?
4. Al Sharpton
2 of 5Yes, this happened.
It was not entertaining one bit, and I think most fans have already forgotten about this appearance.
Not good!
3. Dr. Ken
3 of 5Honestly, I am giving Jeremy Piven a pass. Just like Dennis Miller, he did a fine job (despite a horrible live crowd). Minus one mistake, the man was more than convincing as a guest host.
Ken Jeong was not.
I have seen very little of this man's "acting career" and have not laughed once. I understand he plays cameo roles for other comedy films, but he just doesn't do it for me.
If you love this "actor," so be it! I certainly do not...
Hopefully, he stays far away from Raw moving forward.
2. Akebono
4 of 5I had to include one WrestleMania appearance.
Snooki did great and is a future WWE Hall of Famer. Floyd Mayweather also was great. Many from over a decade ago also did a nice job.
However, Akebono still brings up bad memories for WWE fans. I get the logic of putting him against Big Show in 2005. I understand the thought process.
It just didn't work...
1. Anybody in TNA
5 of 5Jenna Morasca came in for a hefty pay check and had one of the worst matches in wrestling history against Sharmell in 2009.
A few months earlier, the world was treated to Danny Bonaduce taking on Eric Young at Lockdown.
Of course, most know about the appearances by three cast members from Jersey Shore. I guess nobody told them that only Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation mean anything.
Jonny Fairplay spent some time on their television show. Do not even ask me why, but I am sure his money was well-earned.
Recently, we had a great showing from Repo Games host Josh Lewis, and their developmental program also has Jessie Godderz signed to a deal. You know them, right? Right?
Insane Clown Posse, Tom Arnold, and many others all graced us with their talents. None of it meant a thing, and I can't even imagine what the locker room was thinking.
If Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff count as celebrities, they are right there the top of the list as well. It just never ends folks...
