WrestleMania 28 Results: John Cena Must Be Star Moving Forward
John Cena was delivered a crushing blow, and now things will get interesting.
At least, that's the hope for WWE fans, who saw a tremendous buildup to WrestleMania 28 turn awfully stagnant and then get really good with a solid clash between The Rock and John Cena.
Pride came before the fall for Cena, and the man who always gets over was finally on the wrong end of the result. Hooray for small mercies, but there is a ton of work to do.

We all know that Cena did not fall to raise The Rock to a higher level—rather, this is one epic chapter closing only to see an even more intriguing one begin anew.
Some have pondered that Cena could use a couple months to breath after a tireless effort of traveling, but that doesn't strike me as a very Cena thing to do.
This may be his busiest year, as the return of Brock Lesnar signals a tremendous amount of work to be done.
Lesnar may be back, and The Rock could very well feature heavily once again, but they are not going to carry the WWE for years like Cena will.
This is not WWE pulling the plug on Cena, but they will be pushing a new image, and it is far overdue.
When The Rock got over on Cena, I was convinced that WWE was ready to get creative with their face and make him far more intriguing to fans that are tired of the same old Fruity Pebbles.
The key is for him to figure heavily with stars like Lesnar and, subsequently, The Rock. A passing-of-the-torch moment may still be in the cards, but it has to be done after he is battered and beaten, only to rise anew as someone we can all cheer for.
One thing has always bothered me about Cena, and you only need to look at The Rock to see what that may be.
Whether good, bad, heel or not, the people were engaged and wanted to see more. Now is the time to see if that can happen with John Cena.
