Wrestlemania 28: WWE Failed by Not Making Brock Lesnar Appearance a Reality

Richard LangfordJun 7, 2018

The WWE had a golden chance to create an unprecedented amount of buzz, and they let the opportunity slip right through their fingers.

Leading up to the event, there were widespread rumors that Brock Lesnar and the WWE were negotiating a deal. Some even went as far to say that deal was complete.

There were also a host of reports stating that Lesnar and his entourage were in Miami (the site of Sunday's WrestleMania).

Given the clandestine nature of these rumored negotiations, it is impossible to say exactly what kept Lesnar from making an appearance. Maybe it was money, maybe he wasn't ready or perhaps the WWE didn't feel that was the right time.

While the cause isn't clear, the result is. The WWE failed massively.

Lesnar's return is going to be a huge event. They should have done it on the biggest stage. It didn't even have to be a big role.

All that had to happen was that Lesnar came in and interfered for a couple of seconds, set up a storyline and pranced around like the baddest man on the planet. Shoot, he could have just come out and given a little speech and challenged someone.

The crowd would have gone nuts, and it would have been the main topic of conversation following the event. Everyone would have been filled with wonder, excitement and anticipation. Instead, there is just a feeling of disappointment after a day of people speculating he would make an appearance.

Everything fell into place for the WWE to make some big waves, and they blew it.
