WrestleMania 28 Review: What WWE Should Have Done Differently

Jesse ReedJun 6, 2018

I enjoyed watching WrestleMania 28, but there were a few things the WWE should have done differently to put the icing on the cake.

There were some excellent matches. I particularly appreciated the fights between the Undertaker vs. Triple H, The Rock vs. John Cena and CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho.

Here are three things they should have done to make this momentous event even more fantastic to watch.

Make Sheamus and Daniel Bryan Actually Fight One Another

I couldn't believe the way they scripted the first "fight" of the night.

Bryan wasn't even finished with AJ's good-luck kiss when he was brutalized by a Brogue Kick right to the neck that sent him sprawling to the ground.

Sheamus covered him and won before Bryan ever knew what hit him.

I know that they did it to get the crowd into the festivities, even if in a negative capacity. Still, they should have concocted a better strategy than that.

Title matches shouldn't go down like that. People want to see some real action, and the way this match ended was a grave disappointment.

Triple H Should Have Won Against The Undertaker

This was the match of the night. The Hell in The Cage match everyone was waiting for didn't fail to provide us with plenty of exciting action.

The Undertaker was dominant for much of the first part of the fight. He was bludgeoning Triple H with heavy-handed blows to the face and upper body for the better part of five minutes just to start the match.

Much of the action occurred outside the ring too.

There were chairs, stairs and sledgehammers, too. It was epic.

The only problem is that everyone knew the Undertaker would end up winning again.

The WWE should have thrown a wrench in everyone's expectations by orchestrating the biggest upset in WrestleMania history.

John Cena Should Have Won Against The Rock

We all know that The Rock isn't going to stick around for the long haul.

That being said, it was stupid that he was the one who won this match.

Cena is the guy everyone sees from week to week. He is the one putting in all the hard work, and the WWE should have given the fans what they wanted to see.

It was a well-scripted battle, but Cena should have been the one to bask in the limelight after winning, not The Rock.
