St. John's was able to keep it to 12 against Connecticut, but lost their other two Big East games by 21 and 23, and upset Notre Dame by six.

Villanova has had three close Big East games (losing to Marquette by seven, defeating Seton Hall by four, and losing to Louisville by one), and they are ready for a big game to show pollsters that they deserve to be higher in the Top 25.

A great game for the home crowd would do wonders for the team.
