Key Player: Chasson Randle

Randle, who leads Stanford in scoring, will be the most dynamic offensive threat on the floor. He's able to knock down an outside shot or drive into the paint to create open looks for his teammates. The star freshman has carried the Cardinal on his back so far, and tonight will be no different.

Key Matchup: Josh Owens vs. Raphiael Putney

Both teams rely on balanced attacks, which means controlling the interior will be vital to success. Owens gives Stanford an advantage in that area due to his experience, but Putney is a good shot blocker. UMass will need him to have a dominant performance to advance, however, and that's too much to ask.

Prediction: Stanford 76, Massachusetts 70

Washington vs. Minnesota at 9 p.m.

Key Player: Rodney Williams

After Minnesota's star Trevor Mbakwe went down with an injury early in the season, Williams stepped up in a major way to fill the void. He leads the team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots. Without him having a monster game, it's tough to imagine the Golden Gophers advancing.

Key Matchup: Tony Wroten vs. Julian Welch

Washington relies heavily on guard play as each of their top four scorers are perimeter players. Wroten needs to find ways to create offense both for himself and his fellow guards. Slowing him down will be Welch's job tonight. The junior is a solid defender and should be up to the task.

Prediction: Minnesota 74, Washington 71
