| Illinois St. at Stanford | Maples Pavillion (Stanford, CA) | Monday, March 19 11:30 pm | ESPN2 |
No. 4 Middle Tennessee at No. 1 Tennessee
Previous results: Middle Tennessee beat Marshall, 86-78. Tennessee beat Savannah State, 65-51
All eyes will be on Jeronne Maymon's knee going into this matchup. Tennessee's 6'7" junior is still questionable for tonight's game and the Volunteers may struggle without him.
Middle Tennessee can score the basketball and ranked No. 4 in the nation in field goal percentage this season.
The Blue Raiders can shoot their way into the Elite Eight if Tennessee is missing its second-leading scorer.
No. 6 Minnesota at No. 2 Miami (FL)
Previous results: Minnesota beat La Salle, 70-61. Miami (FL) beat Valparaiso, 66-50
Tubby Smith's Minnesota Gophers have struggled to win on the road and defend the perimeter this season.
This does not bode will for their away matchup with Miami, an excellent three-point shooting team.
The Hurricanes will keep firing from beyond the arc and land themselves in the next round.
No. 7 Illinois State at No. 3 Stanford
Previous results: Illinois State beat Mississippi, 96-93 (OT). Stanford beat Cleveland State, 76-65
After leading his team in scoring during the regular season, Stanford guard Chasson Randle was held to just nine points in the Cardinals' opening-round game.
Randle will be fired up and ready to redeem himself against Illinois State.
The Redbirds only chance at a victory will be through the post-play of forward Jackie Carmichael, but Stanford's Andrew Zimmerman is ready for the defensive challenge, and the Cardinals will take this game.
Two quarterfinal matchups are already set. Here are the times and TV listings, again courtesy of CBSsports.com:
| Massachusetts at Drexel | Daskalakis Athletic Center (Philadelphia, PA) | Tuesday, March 20 7:00 pm | ESPN |
| Oregon at Washington | Alaska Airlines Arena (Seattle, WA) | Tuesday, March 20 9:00 pm | ESPN |
No. 5 Massachusetts at No. 3 Drexel
Previous results: Massachusetts beat Mississippi State 101-96 (2OT) and Seton Hall 77-67. Drexel beat Central Florida 81-56 and Northern Iowa 65-63.
Massachusetts took momentum from its double-overtime victory in the first game against Mississippi State and used it to knock off No. 1 seed Seton Hall.
In the game against Seton Hall, sophomore guard Chaz Williams had 20 points and six assists. He even added seven rebounds, despite standing just 5'9" tall.
Williams and the Minutemen will continue their roll and get past Drexel.
No. 3 Oregon at No. 1 Washington
Previous results: Oregon beat Louisiana State 96-76 and Oregon 108-97. Washington beat UT-Arlington 82-72 and Northwester 76-55.
Oregon has posted the two highest scoring totals in a non-overtime game in the NIT so far.
The Ducks may be on a scoring tear, but Washington is a talented team.
The Pac-12 rivals split their season series, with both teams winning at home. Washington will not have to leave the comfort of Seattle, and will continue on to the Final Four.
