WWE News: Very Latest on WrestleMania 28 Plans for The Miz
The Miz is going to main event WrestleMania 28—well, at least he says he is.
The former WWE Champion has been campaigning, mostly on Twitter, to get a match on the WWE’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, but with the way he’s been getting squashed lately, it certainly doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.
But The Miz will undoubtedly make his presence known at Mania, and it’s just a matter of what he does, rather than if he’s going to do something. And we now have the very latest on what the WWE is planning for him in Miami.

"As noted before, WWE officials do have a role planned for The Miz at WrestleMania 28 but they won't announce it and aren't looking to talk about it too much because they want it to be a big surprise.
"
The hot rumor going around right now is that The Miz is going into get involved in the finish of the main event between The Rock and John Cena, and that’s one possibility that doesn’t seem to be sitting too well with most fans, who want to see that historic bout get a clean ending.
I don’t know if the creative team is really willing to take such a huge risk by having The Miz interfere in a match of this magnitude, but if there’s one thing I’m pretty sure of, it’s that The Miz likely wont be scheduled to participate in a WrestleMania match before the show starts.
While there truly are endless possibilities as to what this “big surprise” might be, I don’t think it’s really going to be much of a surprise if The Miz interferes in the main event. There’s a lot of history between The Rock, Cena and Miz, and if anything, that’s something obvious that could happen.
To throw out a not-so-obvious-but-still-somewhat-obvious theory, how about the “big surprise” for The Miz being a baby face turn?
Perhaps not all participants for Teddy Long’s team are announced (or all are announced, but one is forced to withdraw because of injury), and The Miz—who did not earn a spot on Team Laurinaitis—earns a spot on Team Long and wins the match for the baby face side, thus becoming a fan favorite.
I think The Miz could actually work really well as a face, and having that turn happen on the grand stage of WrestleMania 28 would definitely help him get over as a good guy.
