NFL Free Agency Rumors: Peyton Manning's Loyalty to Colts Will Doom Titans
Peyton Manning has been wise to keep his options open during his first time on the open market. After all, he's one off the most accomplished free agents of all time. But the Tennessee Titans' chances will be doomed by his remaining loyalty to the Indianapolis Colts.
According to ESPN, Manning is set to visit with the Titans brass today. He previously had meetings with the Denver Broncos, Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals during his search for a new franchise.
""I think he's ... wanting to sign up with somebody pretty quickly," Adams said by telephone from his Houston home.
Sources previously told ESPN that coach Mike Munchak and several assistants were expected to headline the Titans contingent.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
After a tearful goodbye in his final press conference with the Colts, it's hard to imagine him turning right around to sign with a division rival. Manning has always been an ultra competitive guy, but that doesn't seem like something he would do.
He was able to maintain a high level of respect from Colts fans by leaving like he did. That respect would be significantly damaged if he ended up back in the AFC South.
While Manning has always been known for his play on the field, he's also a shrewd businessman. He wasn't in all of those commercials by mistake. Turning his back on the Colts so quickly would have a negative impact on his sky-high marketability.
These are all factors that going through Manning's mind as he decides which team would give him the best chance to play out his career. It's not simply a football decision.
The Titans don't provide the best chance to win, either. Chris Johnson had a disappointing season after signing a monster contract, the offensive line struggled and the wide receiver depth leaves a lot to be desired for an elite quarterback like Manning.
It would take a truly perfect opportunity, one where a Super Bowl was withing reach, for Manning to sign with a divisional rival of the Colts. Tennessee doesn't fit into that category because the team is still a couple years away, even with Manning.
So, unless the Titans make some type of immaculate offer during today's meeting, it should be viewed as nothing more than Manning not wanting to burn any bridges before he signs.
Ultimately, Manning's love for the Colts organization will supersede the Titans' desperate attempt to land him.
