March Madness 2012: Trey Burke Will Lead Michigan Wolverines to Final Four
Trey Burke, the Michigan Wolverines' phenom freshman point guard, will lead the Wolverines to the Final Four of the 2012 March Madness tournament.
It's going to be a tough road, but this Michigan team has all the makings of a Final Four squad.
Sure, the Wolverines may not be the sexy pick—and they obviously aren't the favorites—but if there's a sleeper team out there that has all the capabilities to make a run, it's the Wolverines.

It all starts and ends with Burke, because it all starts and ends with the point guard.
Many feel basketball is a game that has to be played from the inside out. While I do agree with that sentiment on some level, you can have the best big man in the world, but if he doesn't have somebody to get him the ball he will basically be rendered useless.
Basketball is a game that has to be facilitated.
No, let me correct that statement: Good basketball is a game that has to be facilitated.
That's exactly why the point guard position is so important. This is what gives Michigan an advantage in March Madness.
Burke is simply incredible, and there's a good chance that he'll continue to get better as the pressure goes up.
This is a guy who's played huge during the biggest games so far this season. He obviously does not shy away from the pressure of limelight. He scored 17 points against the Buckeyes in a win, 18 in a win against Indiana, and 20 against the rival Spartans in the Wolverines' 60-59 win back in January.
He's averaged 14.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game, but those numbers hardly do justice in describing what Burke brings to this team.
He brings an explosiveness to the position we haven't seen in a long time. He's brought a swagger to the Wolverines basketball program that hasn't been there since the Fab Five days. He's a leader, he's a playmaker, and he's clutch in the big moment of games. He can score and he can help his teammates score.
Sure, it's a long shot, but how many times have we seen a point guard literally will a team on through March Madness. Look no further than Kemba Walker, Brandon Knight and Kyrie Irving last year.
As long as Burke is running point for this team, Michigan has a chance to do great things.
Don't be surprised when he leads the Wolverines all the way to the Final Four.
