WWE Rumors: The Rock, Hulk Hogan, SmackDown Spoilers and Wednesday's WWE News

Adam WellsMar 7, 2012

When the postscript for WrestleMania 28 is written, we could very well be talking about the most entertaining event in WWE history.

From a match-quality standpoint, there might be better shows. But as far as a show that fans want to pay money to see and star power on the card, there is no reason this WrestleMania won't be at the top of the list.

That is something we can debate for the next four weeks. For now, let's just focus on what is going on backstage and with the SmackDown tapings.

The Rock and John Cena Aren't BFFs

Not that this will come as a shock to most people, but Rock and John Cena don't get along when they are backstage. It's not like they are going to exchange punches—they just don't want a lot to do with each other.

Question on Everybody's Mind

Will this affect the match at WrestleMania?

Our Take

Normally when two wrestlers don't like each other, you would see them take hard shots at each other to send a message. Considering the professionalism that Rock and Cena display in the ring, that shouldn't be a problem.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Blood Feuds

A big reason that this feud works so well is all the tension that these two stars have built. We know what their problems are with each other. As long as that translates into good material on the screen, all will be roses.

Hulkamania Gets Freaky on Video

In a story that really needs no explanation, Hulk Hogan has reportedly had a sex tape released for the world to see. Since he always stays in character, he probably no-sold some moves for her before "it" happened.

Question on Everybody's Mind

Does Hogan actually put the woman over?

Our Take

If there was anything that could get Hogan to stop being Hogan, it would probably be this. Since he loves to be in control of everything, you couldn't put it past him. I won't be watching, so you will have to figure that out for yourself.

Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Red and Yellow Boas

The report says that the video was turned in by "an interested third party." That might be the most unfortunate wording for any source ever, but it does add more hilarity to this already ridiculous scenario.

Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio Uncertain for WrestleMania

We are approaching zero-hour on any big matches that can be made for WrestleMania. Two names that WWE would love to get on the card are Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara, but neither is reportedly cleared to compete yet.

Question on Everybody's Mind

What kind of match would they be involved in?

Our Take

Considering the depth of matches for this year's WrestleMania, neither one would be put in a prominent spot. It would probably be in the best interest of everyone involved not to try rushing them back or risk them doing more damage to their bodies.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Luchadors

Mysterio and Sin Cara could use the big payday from the show, but other than that there is no real reason to rush them back for this show.

I understand the desire to get more Hispanic wrestlers on the card with Miami hosting the show, but it will be a success either way.

Edge Still Waiting Word on His Hall of Fame Inductor

It has been nearly two months since Edge was announced as the newest main eventer going into the Hall of Fame. He is making media rounds saying who he wants to induct him—no surprise, it's Christian—but WWE isn't getting back to him.

Question on Everybody's Mind

WWE can't possibly hate Christian that much, right?

Our Take

When all is said and done, you have to believe that Christian will be on stage with Edge for the ceremony. Since Edge is the main event, he will have more freedom than, say, someone like Koko B. Ware.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Poses For Those With the Benefit of Flash Photography

Edge has earned the right to pick anyone that he wants. WWE should respect his friendship with Christian and let him have his moment in the way that he wants.

****WARNING*****

THE FOLLOWING SECTION CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THIS FRIDAY'S SMACKDOWN. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW, AVERT YOUR EYES ACCORDINGLY

Randy Orton Gets the Best of Kane...Again

Following up on the angle started last week and continued on Raw, Randy Orton was able to outsmart Kane after a six-man tag-team match. Orton teamed with Big Show and Sheamus against Daniel Bryan, The Miz and Cody Rhodes. Orton nailed Kane with another RKO after the match.

Question on Everybody's Mind

Will Kane get a win at WrestleMania?

Our Take

This and the Undertaker match are the two that you could predict with 100-percent certainty. There is no way that Kane goes over Orton at WrestleMania. It's just a shame that Orton has to be stuck in this match on the biggest show of the year.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Moves Turned Into an RKO

Orton 's luck ran out once the calendar flipped to WrestleMania season. He was probably ticketed for a feud with Wade Barrett, which would have been good for both, but all that got changed after Barrett's arm injury.
