2012 NFL Free Agents: Teams That Must Make Signings to Make Playoff Push
No NFL team enters the next season with its entire roster still intact.
This is what makes sports interesting. You never know who's going to rise and who's going to fall headed into the offseason.
There are five teams in particular who need to upgrade to make a legitimate playoff push this season.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here they are.
5. Oakland Raiders (2011 Record: 8-8)
The Raiders were one win away from capturing the AFC West. What was disheartening was they had the division in hand and let it slip through their fingers.
The Raiders could use a solid cornerback to get back on top. The loss of Nnamdi Asomugha became more apparent as the season wore on. Not only did the Raiders allow 27.1 points per game, they allowed over 251 passing yards per game. Both marks ranked near the bottom of the league.
4. Tennessee Titans (2011 Record: 9-7)
Despite all that went wrong for the Titans last season, they still went 9-7, winning their last two games.
That's frankly remarkable for a team that needs help at both guard spots and lost their No. 1 receiver, Kenny Britt, early in the year.
If the Titans can address their guard spots and open up more holes for Chris Johnson, they have a shot at winning a Wild Card spot in 2012.
Of course, Jake Locker needs to improve.
3. New York Jets (2011 Record: 8-8)
The Jets completely fell apart last season, and not all of it was the talent.
Before the Jets can rise again, they need to address their lack of chemistry, but there are some spots they need to fill, particularly at receiver and outside linebacker.
I won't share my feelings about what the Jets should do with Mark Sanchez (OK, I will, they should go after Peyton Manning).
2. Chicago Bears (2011 Record: 8-8)
Jay Cutler has been blamed so much for this team's problems.
Why? Because his offensive line couldn't keep him healthy? That's bogus.
The Bears need to address guard this offseason, as well as give Cutler a possession receiver. That would go a long way in helping them rise in the NFC.
1. Miami Dolphins (2011 Record: 6-10)
The Dolphins recorded all six wins in their last nine games in 2011.
The Dolphins did this despite not having a legit starting quarterback, primarily because of a defense that allowed just 19.6 points per game.
We all know who the Dolphins have been linked to this offseason. That's right, Peyton Manning.
The Dolphins were three wins away from notching a playoff spot last season. You have to believe Manning could make up that difference.
