Pro Bowl 2012: James Harrison Goes Helmet-to-Helmet with in-Game Tweeting
James Harrison just concussed the NFL's plan to have in-game tweeting during the Pro Bowl. The heavily fined battering ram is taking issue with the league's Twitter hypocrisy.
It seems that Harrison is not sold on his league's decision to allow players to tweet from the Hawaii based sidelines of the Pro Bowl.
Harrison announced he wasn't going to tweet during the Pro Bowl .

That's right, the QB attacker just tweeted that he wasn't going to tweet due the hypocrisy of the NFL's twitter stance. This is an unprecedented level of "twitpocrisy."
Is anyone sure what Harrison's point here is? The answer to his query is so obvious that it would seem that he must be trying to pose a rhetorical question. But what is the point of that rhetorical question?
At face value, the answer is simple. It is about money. The NFL is trying to generate buzz for a meaningless game, so they are asking the players to essentially promote it.
This leads to the only conclusion being that Harrison is trying to make the point that he is not going to take to twitter to help drum up interest for the Pro Bowl by tweeting about it.
He certainly has that right, and we all know he has already supplemented the NFL's income enough with his fines.
However, the inherent flaw with his plan is that he just drew more attention to the Pro Bowl with a tweet than anything he likely would have tweeted during the game.
Maybe Harrison will shed more insight into his thoughts at the conclusion of his Twitter abstinence.
