Kevin Garnett Asks Craig Sager If He's Ever Been in a Bar Fight After Cs Big Win
Kevin Garnett has always been one of the most expressive players in the NBA.
He's known for his tendency to get into physical altercations with other players, get hit with technical fouls by referees and to just be a recklessly emotional player.
That emotion at times get's the best of Garnett, and that's what happened last night in his postgame interview with TNT's Craig Sager.
After helping the Celtics erase a 27-point deficit against the Orland Magic, Kevin Garnett was pulled to the side by Craig Sager for a quick interview.
As Sager was trying to get Garnett to focus on the task at hand, the postgame interview, Garnett yelled:
"Bar fight. Bar fight. Bar fight. Bar fight Craig. Tonight was a bar fight Craig. Tonight was a bar fight man. We knew they were going to come in here with a lot of energy, tonight was a bar fight."
Craig Sager just stood there speechless, and that's when Kevin Garnett stepped his game up.
If yelling about how the Celtics win over the Magic was a "bar fight," whatever that means, Garnett turned to Sager, looked him in the eyes and said:
"You ever been in a bar fight? Ask Charles, he's been in a bar fight."
I'm going to go out on a limb and take a wild guess that Craig Sager's never been in a bar fight, so like most of America, he had no clue what Garnett was talking about.
Here's what I think of when I hear someone mention a bar fight. I think of a lot of people getting beat up with pool sticks, beer bottles and getting thrown through tables.
Maybe I turned the game on too late, but I'm pretty sure none of that took place on the court between the Celtics and the Magic.
Dwight Howard wasn't body slamming Paul Pierce through tables, and Garnett wasn't shattering beer bottles over J.J. Redick's head. If that was happening, though, I'm pretty disappointed that I missed it.
I've got to give it to Kevin Garnett, at least he brings ridiculous amounts of energy, excitement and enthusiasm to the court whenever he puts on his No. 5 Boston Celtics jersey.
Next up for the Celtics is their Jan. 27 matchup with the Indiana Pacers, who could very well be in for another Garnett-led bar fight.
