WWE Royal Rumble 2012: This Year's Rumble Match Is the Most Unpredictable Ever
The WWE released a note that this Royal Rumble every wrestler would be eligible to enter into the tournament. As noted by an article from WrestleZone.com, the commercial segment that the WWE aired stated that anyone could participate in the match and showed a clip with CM Punk.
While the WWE has reverted back to the 30-man Rumble, they have still decided to shake things up and have even their champions compete this year. Usually the champions were removed from the Rumble because it was a given that they could be going to WrestleMania. The winner of the Rumble got to challenge for either belt, where as if a champion won that wouldn't be possible.

So if a champion does win, they might have the possibility of picking their challenger or unifying the belts.
The Rumble has always had some surprises, such as Kevin Nash returning as Diesel in last year's Royal Rumble along with Booker T. Another great moment was in 2008 when Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka came back to face each other.
But champions have never taken a turn in the Rumble and how they will be booked in it now will tell the fans what kind of confidence the WWE has placed in them.
There is one other factor as well.
Kane.
In 2001, he eliminated 11 people from the Rumble single-handedly. If the WWE has made him a monster again with the mask, they are going to need to either match that number or break it. If they don't, Kane will lose all the momentum he had going into Rumble.
And he has to be a part of it. To not include Kane in the Rumble just doesn't make sense.
He has just come back with a remake of an old gimmick and has been crushing the likes of John Cena and Zack Ryder. Including him in the Rumble would be the perfect add-on.
He does have a singles match with Cena, but as mentioned before, anyone is capable of being placed in the Rumble this time. It only fits that Kane takes one of the spots as a participant.
There are plenty of other crazy possibilities that could happen as well, such as CM Punk and Daniel Bryan facing off in the ring against each other if both men are picked. If they do, it may be the closest thing fans ever see to a title unification.
This new stipulation could change a number of things for the Rumble, but it does mean one thing. It will be worth seeing which big name stars get a second chance to go to WrestleMania.
Or we might see an underdog upset.
