Nike Hyper Elite Platinum Basketball Uniforms: Pics of New College Hoops Unis
Nine select schools will be losing a little bit of their identity while rocking the new Nike Hyper Elite Platinum Basketball Uniforms.
As the title suggests, the dominant color for all these uniforms is platinum, which proves to be a spicy word for a boring gray color.
Even the Syracuse Orange will be donning these mostly gray uniforms.

Looking at these pictures, it is pretty clear that Nike is intent on taking uniforms into the future. It is just that it is a big-brother-esque type of bland and sterile future. Here is a glimpse of Arizona in their new look.
Along with Arizona and Syracuse, Baylor University (women's), University of Florida, University of Kentucky, the University of Connecticut (men's and women's) and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will all be wearing these uniforms for at least one game this season.
Here is a list of the games, according to Nicole Auerbach of USA Today, that you can see these teams in their Nike unis:
"UConn vs. Notre Dame (1/29), Kentucky vs. Tennessee (1/31), Duke vs. Maryland (2/11), Baylor (women's) vs. Texas A&M (2/11), Florida vs. Tennessee (2/11), Syracuse vs. USF (2/22), Arizona vs. UCLA (2/25), UConn (women's) vs. Notre Dame (2/27) and UNC vs. Maryland (2/29)
"
The one thing about the future aspects of these uniforms that is not unappealing is that they are made from recycled materials. Still, that doesn't mean they have to recycle the same color for each uniform.
Here is one more look in case you haven't gotten that gray feeling yet.
