Australian Open 2012 Semi Finals: Novak Djokovic vs Andy Murray Won't Disappoint
Novak Djokovic dropped his first set in the 2012 Australian Open against Lleyton Hewitt. In four matches, he's dropped just one set.
Last year's top player has picked up exactly where he left off and doesn't look like he's slowing any time soon.
One player who could stand in his way of a second straight Australian Open championship is the man he defeated for the title last year, Andy Murray.
Djokovic and Murray, the one and four seeds respectively, each have a quarterfinals match still to play (Djokovic vs. David Ferrer and Murray vs. Kei Nishikori) before they can meet for the 11th time in their careers.
Should they both advance, Djokovic will get a chance to avenge one of his rare losses in the last year.
Murray won the first set and was up 3-0 in the second before Djokovic was forced to retire at the ATP Masters Cincinnati back in August.
The win was his fourth against the world's No. 1 in 10 matches, four of which have been in the finals and three in the semifinals of tournaments.
This matchup would be another great battle.
Djokovic has been dominant so far during his run at Melbourne, and Murray has dropped only two sets himself.
The men's bracket hasn't seen many surprises thus far, and if we are fortunate enough to see these two get together, we know we won't be disappointed.
