Australian Open 2012 Scores: Jan. 23 Scores and Results Summary

Alex KayJun 5, 2018

Day 8 of the 2012 Australian Open is pretty much in the books and itโ€™s been quite a shocker.

Serena Williams managed to get knocked out by Ekaterina Makarova and did not look fit with a quarterfinals appearance on the line.

Besides that major upset, nothing else too crazy happened and we are now in for extremely exciting quarterfinals play.

The Spaniard kept his unforced errors low and played his usual well-rounded game. Heโ€™s definitely worthy of his No. 5 world ranking and will advance to play in the round of eight.
