WWE Royal Rumble 2012: Will Randy Orton Pull a John Cena and Suprise Everyone?

After John Cena tore his pectoral muscle, he made a shocking return at The Royal Rumble by entering at No. 30 and winning the whole thing by last eliminating Triple H.

It was a cool way to have him come back at a time when his popularity was a bit higher. This would be a possible way for WWE to ring Randy Orton back in a strong way.

He is currently out due to a brutal match with Wade Barrett which ended with him being thrown down a flight of stairs. This was how WWE explained him being off TV for an existing injury.

If WWE feels Orton is ready to return and enter the hunt for the title, then this would be the perfect way to do it. Orton is highly popular and has really grown into a great babyface after being one of the best heels in the business for several years.

He has been out of the title picture on SmackDown for quite some time, as the title has been sought out by Big Show, Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan.

While Orton should be given credit for helping get others over, he is definitely not going to remain out of the title scene for a very long time. WWE knows what he brings to the table, and they will utilize him the best way they know how, by having him on top.

I for one would like to see him feud with Bryan for the title, as I believe they could put on a great program together.

If there is one thing you can say for Daniel Bryan, like him or not, is that he elevates everyone he steps in the ring with. He makes them work harder to get to his level, and he is great at making people look good in a match, not that Orton needs helping getting the fans behind him.

It would also be interesting to see Wade Barrett enter the title picture, as he has shown that he is ready to be back in the main event matches in his feud with Orton over the last couple months.
