NHL Trade Rumors: George Parros from Ducks to Canucks Is the Right Move
SI.com has reported that there is some speculation about Anaheim Ducks enforcer George Parros being traded to the Vancouver Canucks, a move that would be wise for the Canucks.
The Canucks have gone far too long without a true enforcer on the squad, as was evidenced in last year's Stanley Cup Finals. The Boston Bruins were able to hit and disrupt Daniel Sedin, Ryan Kesler and Henrik Sedin without fear of retaliation, resulting in a disappointing finish to their 2011 season.
This year, the Canucks are right back in the thick of the race for first place in the West, and they figure to be major players in the postseason once again. They will need someone like Parros to keep their best players clean and upright, or they will suffer the same fate as they did last year.

There is some debate regarding the legitimacy of this rumor, though. TSN's Bob McKenzie has reported via Twitter that there isn't any conversations happening between the two squads:
"Getting a bunch of tweets asking me about possible Parros to VAN deal. Can tell you ANA and VAN have not had single discussion on Parros.
"
If they haven't already done so, they should do it now.
Vancouver needs the 'stache.
Parros is a man who has taken boxing lessons in order to become a better hockey player. That is what I call dedication. It is also what you want in your enforcer.
If the Canucks don't make a move to fill this gaping hole in their otherwise talented and powerful lineup, they might as well forget about winning the Cup.
With Parros in their lineup, the Canucks become one of the favorites in my mind to win the Stanley Cup in 2012.
