WWE News: Christian Possibly Returning to the Ring Soon
Friday Night SmackDown has been without one of its biggest stars for a while now, and no, I’m not talking about Randy Orton.
The man I speak of is none other than the former World Heavyweight Champion, Christian.
Captain Charisma has been out of action since last November when he suffered an ankle injury on an overseas tour, and aside from a random appearance at the Slammy Awards, he has been nowhere to be found.

We’ve got good news for all the peeps out there, though, because it looks like Christian will be returning to action in the near future.
From WrestleNewz.com:
"Matches announced for the SmackDown live event in San Francisco, California on February 11th include Christian vs. Sheamus, Wade Barrett vs. Randy Orton in a steel cage match and Big Show vs. Mark Henry vs. Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Title.
"
As you can see, it appears as if plans are in place for Christian to get back in the ring by mid-February, which means that he may very well return before then.
According to WrestlingNewsWorld.com, Christian’s ankle was “still in rough shape” in early January, but I still think he’s primed to be a “surprise” entrant in the 30-Man Royal Rumble match.
The Rumble is a great and easy way to bring back an injured superstar, and assuming that Christian’s ankle has improved enough, don’t be shocked to see him return during the Royal Rumble, eliminate a fellow SmackDown star (possibly Sheamus) and kick off his road to WrestleMania.
After all, the WWE could really use Christian right now.
He’s as versatile as any performer on the WWE roster, and he can provide an instant lift to the upper mid-card and main event scene on SmackDown.
Let’s hope that Christian is indeed getting healthy and that he can come back during the Rumble and make a huge impact as we approach the biggest pay-per-view of the year.
