WWE Raw: Perez Hilton Will Give the WWE Divas Some Much Needed Attention

I am a big fan of Alicia Fox. I think Aksana has major potential. Rosa Mendes is about as "must-see" as they come in the business. Those are my three "it" girls in WWE!

Kelly Kelly is 100 percent the biggest female star of this generation in WWE. Beth Phoenix is the current champion and can wrestle with the best of all time. Eve is improving a ton, and it is not going unnoticed.

As you can see, I like a lot of the WWE divas in the company. There are others I enjoy, but those are the ones I will mention now. Sadly, their television time has not always been entertaining.

I enjoy quick matches in the right circumstances. However, seeing one-minute matches every week from the same wrestlers is not fun. The entire division is waiting for Kharma to return, and it is starting to show. Big-time!

That being said, WWE has pulled out the "celebrity card" for this Monday's Raw. Perez Hilton will be on hand to serve as a special ring announcer for their match. The specifics have not been made yet.

Some may not be excited over this news, but I like it. It works on a few levels. Check them out here:

1. The match will get some attention. The division needs a "spark" right now. Adding this interesting layer to Monday night may be something more than a one-night appearance. It could be something to watch for!

2. This means their will be a divas match on Raw. Yes, it seems minor. However, there have been a few shows that have included zero female matches. I don't know about you, but I think every WWE show should include at least (at least!) one divas match.

3. Perez Hilton's Twitter account has over four million followers. Yes, over four million! All it takes is one tweet Monday afternoon like, "Watch the USA Network tonight to see me on WWE Raw." Imagine how many of those people will tune in! Very few people in the world have that big of a fanbase. This could work wonders for WWE and their slumping ratings.

As you can see, I am intrigued by what happens on Raw. It may be great. It may not. Either way, I expect an interesting segment and a ton more viewers than usual. Great move WWE!
