Can Cody Rhodes Pull an "Ultimate Warrior" and Hold the IC and World Titles?

Last night on SmackDown Cody Rhodes made a very strong prediction for himself. The son of legend Dusty Rhodes is looking to outshine the careers of both his brother and father by pulling what he referred to as an "Ultimate Warrior."

For anyone who does not know what he is talking about, Ultimate Warrior was Intercontinental Champion when he defeated Hulk Hogan to become WWE Champion. This is something that has only been done by two men in WWE history.

Other have held multiple titles like HBK holding the WWE and European titles and RVD holding the WWE and ECW titles at the same time.

Rhodes is looking to do this by winning the Royal Rumble match and gaining a title opportunity at WrestleMania against the World Champion.

This is an interesting development for Rhodes. Now that it seems his feud with Booker is over he may want to focus on the World Title picture.

I, along with many others, have been saying for months that Rhodes is ready to jump into the main event scene in WWE and it looks like he thinks so, too.

I would not be surprised if WWE actually had him pull this off because it would be an amazing way to really solidify his place in the company as one of the future stars of the company.

With rumors of Jericho winning this year's Rumble circulating, it would be easy to insert Rhodes into the title match at Elimination Chamber.

Both Henry and Big Show have been in the World title picture for months and Bryan is not looking to give up his title anytime soon, so adding Cody to the mix could make for some great matches.

Cody is very talented and it looks like he is starting to get the respect he deserves. He is WWE's longest reigning current champion and he made sure we all knew that last night.

What is really interesting is that WWE does not have anyone really aiming for Rhodes' IC title, which could indicate that he will in fact win the World Title and vacate the IC title like Warrior did all those years ago.
