WWE: Saved by the Bell's Mr. Belding Headed to RAW This Monday
After multiple appearances on Zack Ryder's "Z! True Long Island Story" YouTube series and an online petition to have him replace John Laurinaitis as the general manager of Monday Night RAW, Dennis Haskins has announced he will be in attendance at next week's show.
Haskins, best known for portraying Mr. Belding on the television show Saved by the Bell, made the announcement Wednesday on former WWE Champion Mike "The Miz" Mizanin's show on SiriusXM radio, followed by a second announcement via Twitter.
In a later tweet, he said that he couldn't confirm that he would be participating in any fashion other than attending the event as a spectator, but an online movement to install him as the new RAW GM has gained traction.

The petition, launched three weeks ago on Twitition, currently has over 1,500 signatures and has attracted the attention of several WWE Superstars. Smackdown commentator Josh Mathews wouldn't mind seeing Haskins in the role, tweeting, "@mrbelding for GM of Raw? I'd love to hear, "hey, hey, hey! What is going on here?!?"
William Regal, the 2008 King of the Ring and a former WWE commissioner/RAW G.M. himself, was less receptive in his tweets, saying,
"People keep sending me things to sign to help get some non entity to become the new GM of Raw.Divvys.Why on earth would I do that.If that job needs filling then there is no one better suited than myself.#properfact.
"
For now, it appears as though Laurinaitis will remain in place as General Manager of WWE's flagship program and continue his feud with WWE Champion CM Punk. But Haskins will be in the Honda Center in Anaheim for RAW on the 16th, and history has shown that anything can happen in the WWE.
