Novak Djokovic: Why the Djoker Will Continue His Reign of Dominance
Novak Djokovic put together one of the greatest years in the history of tennis in 2011, finishing the campaign with a 70-6 record.
Expect more of the same in 2012, including another Grand Slam sweep.
It didn't matter how much you doubted The Djoker, he was determined to gut through fatigue and injury to end the year on top. He swept the Grand Slam scene and made mincemeat of just about everybody that crossed his path.
The Djoker has officially become the new machine of tennis. Whereas we once thought of Roger Federer as the main unstoppable force, he is officially in the twilight of his career. Don't even get me started on Rafael Nadal, who may very well be as fragile as they come. Props to him for trying to gut through matches, but he is constantly visibly hindered by nagging injuries.
Djokovic is a supreme powerhouse. His size, strength and speed rivals Federer and has Nadal's youthful exuberance working to his advantage. Right now, he is Federer and Nadal rolled up into one superpower tennis master.
The scary part is that The Djoker is just now entering the prime of his career. After years of teetering on the brink, he finally shattered the glass ceiling last year. Rest assured, he won't quit until he puts every doubter to shame. He opened eyes last year, but now he will prove through another dominant 2012 that he is hands down the best in the world.
With his uncanny knack for the impossible, charisma, confidence and masterful serve, Djokovic will stand tall as the No. 1 player throughout 2012.
