WWE Raw: Chris Jericho Breaks Down Crying, What the Hell Is Going on with Him?

The Doctor Chris MuellerJun 7, 2018

Last night on RAW, we were expecting an answer as to why Chris Jericho left the ring without so much as a word last week, and instead we got more questions.

As Jericho was greeted with another warm ovation, he proceeded to pump the crowd up over and over again, but as he grabbed the mic, reality set in, he was not going to talk again.

He shed a few tears, and then broke down crying. He looked at first as if he was crying from the warm ovation, but it soon became clear that this was another ploy by Jericho and the WWE.

This makes for one of the more interesting storylines I can remember. Jericho is not feuding with anyone, not fighting anyone in the ring, not saying a word and yet everyone is talking about him.

It really is a work of brilliance, and I give WWE credit for stepping up their game these past few months. Between the long awaited debut of Brodus Clay, the cryptic vidoes, Jericho's speechless return and Kane's reign of terror, WWE has been very entertaining lately.

All that on top of the fact that some of the best talent in the company are getting ample time in the ring and you have some of the best WWE programming I can remember from the last few years.

The question is, where does Jericho go from here? He can't keep coming out and saying nothing, but when will he break his silence? When will he make his intentions clear?

One thing we do know is that Chris Jericho is going to put his all into whatever this is. He is a top notch performer and athlete who has never failed to impress fans.

The main possibility seems to be that CM Punk and Jericho will enter into some kind of feud culminating in a match at WrestleMania 28, but with Punk already having plans through the Rumble with Dolph Ziggler, I would not be surprised if that was not how things panned out.

If Jericho is back to fight CM Punk, then he is taking his sweet time telling everyone. I am fairly confident they will cross paths, but don't expect Jericho to only focus on one person.

This could be a multi-angle feud which could end up as a triple-threat or even fatal four-way match at WrestleMania with Punk and Jericho, especially if WWE decides to take the belt from Punk anytime before 'Mania.

WWE is getting very interesting again and I am liking the direction most of these storylines are going. What do you think of Jericho's angle thus far?
