Report: Netflix to Pay NFL $150M for Chiefs-Steelers, Ravens-Texans Christmas Games
Netflix is reportedly paying quite the sticker price to air two NFL games on Christmas Day this year.
Jessica Toonkel of the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday that the streaming service will pay approximately $150 million to air the two games, which will pit the Kansas City Chiefs against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens against the Houston Texans.
The report comes after Netflix announced the games:

Henry Goldblatt of Netflix noted the streaming service reached a three-year deal with the NFL. In addition to the two games this year, it will air at least one Christmas Day game in the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
Netflix couldn't have asked for much better matchups for this year's $150 million price tag.
Kansas City is the gold standard of the sport and winner of back-to-back Super Bowls. It also brings plenty of star power with Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and will face a Steelers franchise that is coming off a playoff appearance and figures to have a notable name under center in Russell Wilson or Justin Fields.
The other game is a postseason rematch between the Ravens and Texans, which means a head-to-head showdown between Lamar Jackson and C.J. Stroud.
Jackson is the reigning league MVP, while Stroud won the Offensive Rookie of the Year last season and is one of the bright young stars in the league.
