Miami guard Haley Cavinder entered the NCAA's transfer portal on Friday as she intends to play during the 2024-25 season, according to ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

Cavinder and her twin sister, Hanna, initially announced their retirement from basketball in April. Now, Haley will consider returning to Miami as well as exploring the possibility of moving to a new school.

Hanna Cavinder "is not joining her sister in future basketball pursuits," per Rittenberg.

Haley Cavinder averaged 12.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per game last season, making the All-ACC second-team in the process.

Both of the twin sisters had originally retired to focus on opportunities that included a deal with the WWE. The two had become some of the top-earning college athletes in the country due to their NIL deals. In 2022, Forbes estimated that the sisters had made nearly $2 million total from NIL agreements.

"I started with her, so at the end of the day, I want to end basketball and start our new lives together, but it was definitely difficult for me," Haley Cavinder said in April (via Rittenberg).

Now, Cavinder will be one of the most sought-after names in the transfer portal. She won 2021 Mountain West Conference Player of the Year after averaging 19.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.

She hit 43 percent of her shots from the field and 33 percent of her threes, helping lead Fresno State to a 17-11 record. This resulted in a fourth-place finish in the Mountain West Conference.

Cavinder's combination of activity on the boards and high-volume three-point shooting has made her extremely difficult to guard throughout her collegiate career. She hit 65 shots from behind the arc last season, the sixth-highest mark in the ACC.

She will reportedly return to the court in about a year.
