WWE: Chris Jericho Returns but How Long Can He Last Against the Younglings?
He has finally returned!
Chris Jericho, the first Undisputed Champion, has made his way back to the WWE after over 15 months away.
We have been speculating for weeks on who was behind the mysterious promos and as much as Y2J tried to conceal it, no one was really fooled once we heard the words "He will return to take back what is his," obviously referring to the title of best in the world, which CM Punk claimed as his own.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
It is wonderful to have him back. There is no doubt about it, and he is such a mastermind that last night's return was played to perfection. He didn't even say a word yet struck a major cord with the Memphis audience, whose cheers eventually turned to some boos.
The man is the master and all will be revealed in time, and slowly, may I say, just like a bandage over a wound. Hair by hair, Chris Jericho will make us wait and crave for more, for all is not as it seems.
He is no babyface.
A good question remains to be answered, however. To what kind of WWE will he be returning to?
The face of the company has changed a lot since he left, and it is a time when the young and future Superstars lay claim to all the championships.
These upstarts are strong and dedicated and will never yield their place unless forced out. If you value your future, you will never favor the old over the new and young. That would be stupid. Everything has its place in the world and the WWE is no different.
On the flip side, Jericho is not just any character. He is the even-evolving Superstar who can have the crowd eating out of his hand with but a thought. The mold was broken after this one was made.
Not only does he have the experience to stand tall with any fast-rising star, he looks to be in phenomenal shape, too. You can hardly tell he is in his 40s and that is a major plus. People have been dying to have him back and well, now he is.
What will the company do with him?
First things first...deal with CM Punk. Y2J will eventually address the situation and will call out the WWE Champion and get to the bottom of things. It is in his best interest to have Punk retain the title at the Royal Rumble. Do not disregard the fact that there is to be a special guest referee, and my gut tells me it could very well be Chris Jericho.
There are a number of talents who could benefit from a program with the Ayatollah of Rock 'N' Rollah. On top of the list are definitely The Miz, Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett.
Wow...just imagine the sort of clever, amazing program any of these could have versus Jericho. One has a loud mouth just like him, the other is hellbent on taking out legends and the third is his former NXT pupil. All would stand to gain a lot out of taking him down.
These are just a few names. Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan are two others.
Chris Jericho is such a smart player that last night's return left us all wondering: What the hell was that, or where do things go from here? It actually pissed a lot of people off—you could tell if you watched. It was amazing.
No doubt about it, a feud with CM Punk over the WWE Championship would be the best thing to go with, and I hope for his sake he gets another title run and restores some much-needed pride in that strap.
His experience can serve to help elevate other talents who need him as well. He has nothing left to prove and his name will shine bright in the Hall of Fame once he calls it quits. Not anytime soon, people.
Chris Jericho can also take it to the top guys like no other. John Cena, Randy Orton, The Undertaker and Triple H are some of the current veterans. So is Jericho. A match or feud with any of those masters would simply be golden—end of discussion.
He has come to save us again. The end times for the old WWE have arrived and out of the ashes will stand the best in the world at what he does.
It has only just begun.
