WWE and AEW Tag Teams That Must Be Broken Up
The wrestling industry has never been more successful, with both WWE and AEW expanding into new markets and putting on quality shows, but the products are far from perfect.
To help freshen up the creative process across the board, there are tag teams and stables across both companies that would benefit from breaking up in the coming months.
With deeper rosters and more elite talent, several popular performers would benefit from leaving their group and forging out on their own, and the breakup storylines could be the catapult needed to take them to the next level.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Here are the tag teams from AEW and WWE that should split.
Damage CTRL
When the trio of Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky debuted on the main roster as Damage CTRL, the WWE Universe believed that the talented performers would be put into enticing storylines that develop their characters and portray them as cornerstones of a brand.
Instead, they have become glorified jobbers to the stars, losing every big match against the top names in the business. While it is common for heels to often take losses, they still need some form of legitimacy to prove how dangerous they could be in the right situation.
In a perfect world, Sky would break off on her own as a beloved babyface, using her elite in-ring style and ability—as seen in her Backlash match against Bianca Belair—to become one of the most popular faces in WWE's women's divisions.
On the other hand, Bayley and Kai could form a tag team that still performs as heels, giving depth to the women's tag team division and providing a duo with the kind of charisma on the mic and in the ring that the championships desperately need.
All three women are too talented to fail when given the right opportunity, so with Damage CTRL faltering, it's time to break up the group and provide each talented performer with a chance to succeed.
Jericho Appreciation Society
Once Chris Jericho finishes his storyline with Adam Cole, it should be time for the implosion of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
The veteran still has what it takes to be a marquee member of the roster and a cornerstone of the AEW brand, but it may be time for a character change to keep things fresh.
There is no doubt that Jericho has helped stars like Daniel Garcia, Jake Hager, 2.0 and Sammy Guevara get over with the crowd in a meaningful way, but now it's time for those men to sink or swim without him.
With the possible return of CM Punk looming and rumors surrounding Jericho's inclusion on AEW Collision, now would be a wise time for a rebranding. With a new Saturday show looking to make a serious impact, the industry legend must be at his best and on his own.
The other members of the group will need to be booked in solid follow-up storylines, with the company using the supreme talent of someone like Guevara or Garcia.
There may still be meat left on the bone with the Jericho Appreciation Society storyline, but it's better to leave them wanting more than to give wrestling fans too much and have them reject it entirely.
Street Profits
There are few wrestling fans who watch WWE weekly who don't see world championship potential in Montez Ford. While Angelo Dawkins is also a fantastic talent, he doesn't have that star power Ford possesses.
In the storyline, Dawkins should grow jealous of Ford as his star continues to rise from a singles perspective, causing tension among the friends and a full-blown heel turn when Dawkins finally snaps.
Not only would a series of matches between the two friends result in an excellent wrestling program, but it would also be the launching point for Ford to become one of the top faces in the company.
Starting with a secondary title that he holds for several months before ultimately jumping to the world championship scene on Raw or SmackDown, Ford is a once-in-generation athlete with the charisma to match.
Add in the fact that eventually, when the crowds turn on Ford and Bianca Belair, the powerful duo can become detestable heels, and Ford's ascent to the top of the card should start with a feud against Dawkins.
