Let’s see what WWE Raw has in store for the fans!
CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler: WWE Championship
What better way to start out the New Year then with a WWE Championship match?
CM Punk has become the must-see superstar in WWE. He was always good but it wasn’t until his worked shoot and the Money in the Bank pay-per-view that people started taking notice.
He could not only wrestle but he could talk circles around everyone.
Now as WWE champion he’s on top of the wrestling world and he has no plans of being knocked off.
His opponent, Dolph Ziggler, has been on the rise over the past few months.
Ziggler has proven that he can hang in the main even in matches with Randy Orton and last week on Raw he defeated Punk in a Gauntlet Match to earn his shot at the title tonight.
Can Dolph Ziggler take down the Cult of Personality and win the WWE Championship or will CM Punk continue his reign at the top?
Will John Cena Embrace the Hate?
Kane returned with a bang when he choke slammed John Cena straight to hell.
The following week he went after Cena again, this time ripping off his “Rise Above Hate” shirt and walked off with it.
It was weird seeing the Big Red Monster attack Cena just to take his shirt.
All of this lead up to Kane revealing last week that his return was to knock some sense into Cena.
Cena takes pride in rising above the hate but Kane says that the hate is getting to him; that it’s eating him alive.
Kane wants the face of the WWE to embrace the hate and get everything off of his chest.
Kane told Cena that he will be living in denial for the rest of his career if he doesn’t tell the WWE Universe what’s really on his mind.
How will John Cena respond to Kane’s statement? Will the attacks continue?
R-Truth Is Out For Revenge
After being taken out by the Miz about a month ago, R-Truth returned last week with a vengeance.
After all but walking out of a match with John Cena, Miz went on the mic and gave the fans the same tired old shtick: “I was the most must-see WWE champion in WWE history” and “I beat you [John Cena] at WrestleMania.”
As he continued, R-Truth’s music hit and he went right for the Miz.
After beating the hell out of him he declared that he’ll be getting his revenge nice and slow.
It’s okay because Little Jimmy approved his actions.
What does R-Truth have in store for the Miz tonight?
The End Begins: Who Will Bring About the End of the World?
The “It Begins” saga has been some of the best video work WWE has done in a long time.
It all started six weeks ago with a dark and mysterious promo hyping the return of someone.
Who was returning? The video didn’t say.
All it said was that “A prophet was returning to claim what was his,” and it was said by a little boy writing in a notebook.
A little girl soon appeared and the fans learned that she held the key to the identity of the mystery person.
Soon the girl started to punish the boy and declared that she couldn’t help him anymore.
Who is she protecting?
Tonight on Monday Night Raw a superstar will be returning to the WWE.
Is it Chris Jericho? Is it the Undertaker?
Are Shane and Stephanie McMahon returning to WWE to take what is theirs?
Or is WWE just screwing with us and the result will be a huge letdown?
Also rumored for tonight is a Memphis street fight between Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole, and a Raw challenge match between John Cena and Kane.
Whether those will appear on the broadcast or are dark matches remains to be seen.
Either way, tonight’s Monday Night Raw is looking like a great episode as WWE looks to enter the New Year with a bang!
