UFC 141: Jacob Volkmann Hurts His Image After Winning Fight
Jacob Volkmann has been known to get into a scrap or two.
No, not in the Octagon: with President Barack Obama, of course.
Volkmann was at it again on Friday night after his UFC 141 victory over a tough opponent in Efrain Escudero.
Volkmann went as far as to say Obama should get a glassectomy when talking with Joe Rogan after the fight in Las Vegas.
A glassectomy, if you didn't know, is slang for removing a person's bellybutton so they can see what they're doing while their head's up their...well, you know.
Unfortunately for Volkmann, the joke didn't go over very well considering most people aren't familiar with that term.
Volkmann, as you may remember, first called out Obama after his UFC 125 win over Antonio McKee. Volkmann told MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani after the victory that he would have liked to fight Obama, saying, "He's not too bright...Someone's gotta knock some sense into that idiot."
Volkmann, who's also a chiropractor, was referring to Obama's healthcare plan at the time. He's been an adamant critic of Obama's in large part because of the difficulties for small businesses to get off the ground.
But instead of making a point on Friday, Volkmann simply confused the audience, and it's safe to say he's not going to be a comedian anytime soon.
You only get a few short moments to make your mark after the fight.
Volkmann certainly made his mark. The only problem was, nobody understood what he was talking about.
