WWE "It Begins" 2012: What If the McMahons Are Behind Promos?

We are just days away from the revelation of the cryptic "It Begins" promos. The heavy favorite for the return is probably Chris Jericho, with Undertaker as the other favorite.

However, there is an outside chance, with all the conspiracy angles and power changes this year, that the McMahons are behind this. It could be any combination of Shane, Vince and Stephanie.

Time will tell who is truly behind them but there has to be a consideration or thought that it could potentially be the McMahons. 

Reasons Why It Could Be the McMahons

There are things in these promos that point to the McMahons. The videos continue to push the theme of a boy and a girl. The boy could symbolize either Vince or Shane and the girl could symbolize Stephanie.

They also have mentioned the word "control," which could be indicating that someone from the McMahon family is looking to regain control of their family company.

Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon has one of the biggest ego's of all time. He is not afraid to build things up and put himself in the middle of them. For example, he declared himself the greatest Raw superstar of all time after the revelation of who Vince believed the greatest of all time was. Also, he put himself in one of the biggest angles this year, the conspiracy. 

The promos have mentioned "control" which is what Vince would be returning to do. His return will be to "reclaim."

Also his father Vincent (James) McMahon started the WWE and then his son Vincent (Kennedy) McMahon took over as boss. The word "second" is another word that is emphasized, and although their middle names are different, Vincent Kennedy McMahon is the "second" Vincent McMahon.

What We Should Expect If Vince Returns

The only way that this angle would work, with Vince being behind these promos, is if he comes back as a regular character and has the same obnoxious and arrogant character that made him famous (Mr. McMahon).

He could hit some topics that have been ignored like the conspiracy angle and anonymous Raw general manager. Also, possibly take over again and immediately get rid of the PG rating and "end the (PG) world."

Shane and Stephanie

As more promos started coming out, the possibility of Shane McMahon being the one behind them grew. Shane and Stephanie have always had significant roles in their family company.

When Vince was relieved of his duties as the boss, the tradition of passing it down to your real son did not continue. The duties were given to Vince's son-in-law, Shane's brother-in-law and Stephanie's husband, Triple H.

Shane could return because he is jealous and enraged that he was not named the new boss. Stephanie could return as well and be involved in the feud between Shane and Triple H. There is some significance to the fact that their is a boy and a girl in the promos and they could be representing the children of Vince McMahon.

Lately Shane has moved away from the WWE to do his own thing, but with the WWE Network ready to premiere and the company possibly moving away from the PG era, I'm sure he will be willing to return and draw some buzz around the wrestling world.

What We Should Expect If Shane and Stephanie Return

Majority of fans are hoping that the "end of the world" could be the "end of the PG WWE world." Since the company has gone PG they have slumped in their ratings and angered fans and former wrestlers.

Shane's return could spark the end of this PG world as he tries to gain control of the company and change the atmosphere in the process. Shane has been one of the craziest superstars and was involved in some wild matches during the "Attitude Era." If he still has it in the tank, Shane could deliver a "coast-to-coast" to Triple H that causes him to be cut open and bleeding, he could help the company start to get their edge back.
