WWE News: Latest on John Cena Potentially Turning Heel During Feud with Kane
Talk of John Cena turning heel seems to be never-ending.
Cena has been a baby face for as long as I can remember, and the majority of WWE fans—well, at least Internet fans—seem to think that Cena is in desperate need of a heel turn. There are those who think it will never happen, those who think it won’t happen until way down the road and those who think it’s happening right now thanks to Cena’s feud with Kane.
I could certainly see why fans would think Cena is headed for a heel turn at the moment, but will it actually happen?

Well, here is the very latest on whether Cena’s current storyline with Kane will end up with Cena turning heel.
From F4Wonline.com (via SEScoops.com):
"John Cena was booked to appear in the 10pm and 11pm segments of Monday’s RAW Supershow, because WWE is still not comfortable with CM Punk’s ability to draw ratings. While WWE appears to be teasing a potential heel turn for Cena, there are no plans for a full turn any time soon.
"
The debate over a Cena heel turn is just like the debate over the “It Begins” videos—we can talk about it all we want, but we’re never going to know what’s going to happen until it actually happens.
I think that most of us can agree that Cena needs his current storyline with Kane to lead to something—whether that be a complete revamping of his character, a minor tweak to his gimmick or a full-fledged heel turn—and I also think it’s clear that that is indeed happening.
But we just don’t know exactly what is going to come of this “Will Cena embrace the boos?” storyline.
A heel turn would be ideal for Cena’s character because he’s gotten so stale and boring over the last few years, but I would gladly welcome any sort of change to Cena’s character, as long as it gives him the depth he’s been sorely lacking over the last several years.
The main problem I see with Cena is that he’s almost godlike with the way he overcomes all odds and comes back during his matches, and many fans (like me) would be satisfied if he simply started showing some more human tendencies—if he wasn’t always smiling and so happy-go-lucky, if he actually got pissed at the fans for a change, etc.
Cena just needs to do what all top stars do at some point, and that’s change.
That doesn’t necessarily mean he has to turn heel, either.
