Alabama 2012 SEC Football Schedule: Breaking Down Road to BCS Title Game
If the Alabama Crimson Tide are going to repeat as BCS National Champions or start their quest to win their second BCS National Championship in four years, it’s going to be a long and tough road with a number of tough road games.
However, with how well the defense played this year and how they should be just as good next year, Alabama should finish the 2012 season with an even better record.

The first week of the season has two of the most famous college football programs playing in Arlington, TX in front of 110,000 people.
Alabama will open their 2012 season against the high speed of Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson. However, if there is a defense that can contain Robinson, with the speed of their own defense, it’s the Crimson Tide.
Alabama wins a thrilling game to open their season, 31-21.
Sept. 8 vs. Western Kentucky
Here the Crimson Tide get their first non-BCS school to steamroll over. This is the first home game of the year, and Alabama should have this game wrapped up by the end of the first half.
Alabama’s defense has their first shutout of the year, winning this game 38-0.
Sept. 15 at Arkansas
Last year, Arkansas went into Alabama and was crushed by the Crimson Tide’s defense, only scoring 14 points with an offense that averaged 37 points per game.
This year, Razorbacks quarterback Tyler Wilson will have a better game, but he will not be able to get past Alabama.
Final score, Alabama 27-24.
Sept. 22 vs. Florida Atlantic
This is going to be another game where the Crimson Tide runs all over a non-BCS team in a blowout.

Sept. 29 vs. Ole Miss
After surviving a wild game at Arkansas, Alabama returns home to take on an Ole Miss team that finished 2-10 overall and 0-6 in the SEC. Ole Miss barely scored one touchdown against Alabama at home last year, and they will struggle again this year in Tuscaloosa.
Final score, Alabama 42-Ole Miss 10.
Oct. 13 at Missouri
Alabama travels outside of the south for the first time for an SEC game, when they head to Missouri to welcome the Tigers to the conference.
Missouri struggled in the Big 12 last year, going 5-4. Against the Crimson Tide, the Tigers will be outmatched and overwhelmed by the speed of Alabama’s defense.
Alabama stays perfect, winning 28-13.
Oct. 20 at Tennessee
Tennessee will be a lot better in 2012 than their 5-7 record last year. Tennessee, led by Tyler Bray, will keep this Volunteers team in this game for a lot longer than Alabama fans would have expected them.
Alabama pulls off a tough win in Knoxville, 21-17.
Oct. 27 vs. Mississippi State
Mississippi State will come into this game as a Top 25 team. However, they will fail to beat Alabama for another year. Alabama’s defense will shut down the Mississippi State offense for a second year, winning this game easily.

Nov. 3 at LSU
A rematch between the BCS National Championship game and last year’s “Game of the Century.” These two teams have had some epic games recently, and this one will be just as huge.
However, while LSU was able to defeat Alabama in Tuscaloosa last year, Alabama will be able to pull out a close win in Baton Rouge this time around.

Nov. 10 vs. Texas A&M
Alabama could slip up here at home a week after a huge victory on the road against LSU.
However, A&M will be starting a new quarterback next year, which will be the reason for their downfall in this game.

Nov. 17 vs. Western Carolina
Just a week where Alabama plays a weak non-BCS school. They rest their starters before the Iron Bowl, where they have a chance to finish their season with a perfect 11-0 record.

Nov. 24 vs. Auburn
The Crimson Tide comes into their final game of the regular season against Auburn with a chance to end their 2012 season perfect. Here, the Tide win their second straight Iron Bowl game and head into the SEC Championship game perfect.

Dec. 1 vs. Georgia SEC Championship Game
Georgia makes it back to the SEC Championship game after going 11-1 and winning the SEC East. Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray will give this Alabama defense its best test of their season by ripping them for three touchdowns.
Alabama wins this game with a field goal as time expires to head to the BCS National Championship game.

After they finish 13-0, they will head to the BCS National Championship game to face the USC Trojans and Matt Barkley. That game is too close to call right now, and it will be all about which team is healthier coming into that game.
